FTC Lures Back Davis Polk Antitrust Pro To Lead Econ Bureau

Law360, New York (May 14, 2012, 7:15 PM EDT) -- Antitrust specialist Howard Shelanski confirmed Monday that he is leaving his position at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP to return to the Federal Trade Commission, this time as director of the agency's Bureau of Economics.

The move comes less than a year after Shelanski parted ways with the FTC to join Davis Polk as of counsel and teach law at Georgetown University, but he said the chance to lead the bureau where he served as deputy director for three years was too good an opportunity to...
