Judge Shelves $94M Condo Project Loan Fight For Now

Law360, New York (May 22, 2012, 8:21 PM EDT) -- A New York judge on Friday stayed a dispute between a developer and lenders over funding for a $94 million condominium project in Manhattan's Tribeca neighborhood, saying the court must first settle a dispute over whether the developer waived voting rights in funding the project.

In its suit filed in state court, 281 Broadway Developers LLC sought to block German bank Helaba Landesbank Hessen-Thueringen and Chicago lender Capri Select Income II LLC from modifying 2005 loan agreements with Buck Broadway & Reade LLC, the lead developer...
