Paramount Pays $19M To End 'Transformers 3' Head Injury Suit

Law360, New York (May 23, 2012, 10:59 PM EDT) -- An Illinois judge on Wednesday approved a $18.5 million settlement between Paramount Pictures Corp. and a Chicago woman who suffered a serious head injury during her work as an extra on the set of the 2011 movie "Transformers 3," according to Wednesday news reports.

Gabriela Cedillo, 26, received the settlement after her brother Rudy Romo sued Paramount in Illinois state court after a September 2010 accident that sent her to the hospital with brain damage, the Chicago Tribune reported.
