Companies Jammed Into Traffic Info Patent Suit

Law360, New York (September 10, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A Texas-based patent-holding company is hoping to put the brakes on several major car manufacturers, electronics makers and media outlets for allegedly violating a patent for a traffic information system.

Traffic Information LLC filed a patent infringement lawsuit on Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas against car manufacturers American Honda Motor Co. Inc., Mercedes-Benz USA LLC, Nissan North America Inc. and Toyota Motor Sales USA Inc.
