Calpine Settles With Pipelines

Law360, New York (September 11, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Pipeline operators have dropped their objections to bankrupt Calpine Corp.'s moves to resolve the claims of a fellow pipeline provider in a deal the operators feared would set the terms of future agreements.

The operators, among them TransCanada PipeLines Ltd and Portland Natural Gas Transmission System, told the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York that their fears had been addressed by the energy company and their objections resolved by assurances the agreement would have no bearing on future claims.
