National Fuel Settles With BP Over NJ Cleanup

Law360, New York (May 30, 2012, 6:25 PM EDT) -- National Fuel Oil Inc. on Tuesday settled a lawsuit against BP Oil Inc. that sought to recover $650,000 in cleanup costs related to a contaminated New Jersey property it purchased from BP in 1979.

Judge Dennis M. Cavanaugh dismissed the suit under settlement terms that have not been made public.

Attorneys for National Fuel and BP declined to comment on the settlement  Wednesday.
