Cathas Targets Apple, Amazon, Others In Web Patent Blitz

Law360, New York (June 1, 2012, 5:46 PM EDT) -- Technology heavy-hitters including Apple Inc., Amazon.com Inc. and Groupon Inc. have been hit with patent suits filed in Delaware federal court by Cathas Advanced Technologies LLC, which accuses them of violating Web-based technology patents. 

Cathas filed at least seven suits on May 28 against Apple, Amazon, Oracle Corp., daily deal sites LivingSocial Inc. and Groupon, travel site Expedia Inc., and networking website LinkedIn Corp., accusing them of infringing U.S. Patent Numbers 6,925,445 and 7,412,446.
