New York AG Hits Back At NYRI

Law360 (September 11, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The New York Attorney General's Office has moved to dismiss a lawsuit over legislation that limits the use of eminent domain by electric and gas corporations.

In court documents filed at the end of last month, the AG asked the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York for judgment on the pleadings. If the motion is successful, it will likely prevent New York Regional Interconnect Inc. from building a 190-mile high voltage transmission line from Oneida County to Orange County in New York....
