CIT Sides With Fuwei In Dumping Duties Dispute

Law360, New York (June 1, 2012, 9:04 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Court of International Trade on Friday sided with Fuwei Films Co. in its bid to get the U.S. Department of Commerce to reconsider anti-dumping duties applied to the Chinese company's plastic products, remanding the duties for a second look.

Commerce had already volunteered to address Fuwei's claim that the department had misweighed the company's labor expenses in calculating duties on polyethylene terephthalate film, but had refused to budge on the company's claim that the agency had used the wrong surrogate values.
