Supreme Court Disbars Dick's Atty Jailed For Kickbacks

Law360, New York (June 4, 2012, 2:22 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday disbarred a real estate attorney for Dick's Sporting Goods who was sentenced in January to five years in prison for funneling $2 million in developer kickbacks to an executive at the retail giant.

“It is ordered that Benjamin J. Viloski is disbarred from the practice of law in this court,” the Supreme Court said in a brief order Monday. Viloski was suspended from practicing April 23 and had been ordered to show cause why that ruling was incorrect.
