Law360, New York (June 5, 2012, 1:37 PM EDT) -- Recent discussion of the Verizon Wireless purchase of AWS spectrum currently owned — but not used — by cable operators has centered on competition policy. As an outside counsel for Verizon who has also worked for other high-technology companies, including MCI, I have seen three fundamental principles of competition policy provide guidance that, in this case, demonstrates why approval of the deal is the right answer.
