Law360, New York (June 5, 2012, 9:42 PM EDT) -- A federal judge ruled Monday that the Federal Insurance Co. for now must provide a defense for Jerry Sandusky, the former Pennsylvania State University assistant football coach facing criminal and civil charges that he molested young boys, under the policy it issued but would be exempt from covering damages.
Federal had asked the court for a declaration stating that Pennsylvania's public policy would not permit the enforcement of a directors and officers policy it issued to Sandusky's charity.
