MF Global Claims Against Ex-Affiliates Top $3B, Trustee Says

Law360, New York (June 5, 2012, 11:56 PM EDT) -- MF Global Holdings Ltd. has more than $3 billion in claims against its former affiliates that would help fund recoveries for the erstwhile brokerage giant’s creditors, trustee Louis J. Freeh said late Monday.

In a 119-page report filed in New York bankruptcy court, Freeh said the parent company's estates in the U.S. hold more than 68 claims, worth more than $2.3 billion, against its former brokerage unit MF Global Inc.
