Westar, Terax Exec Accused Of Widespread Fraud

Law360 (September 13, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has accused “convicted felon and disbarred lawyer” Mark Roy Anderson of fraudulent behavior surrounding the securities of Westar Oil Inc. and Terax Energy Inc.

The SEC filed an enforcement action on Wednesday against Anderson, the two companies he allegedly controls and Terax’s nominal CEO in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas.

26-year-old defendant Linda Contreras is Terax’s CEO. According to the SEC, she also is employed as Anderson’s personal assistant at Westar’s Beverly Hills headquarters....
