RJ Reynolds, Others Socked With Age Discrimination Suit

Law360, New York (June 7, 2012, 5:06 PM EDT) -- R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. on Wednesday was hit with a collective action from a Georgia man who says the company — helped by CareerBuilder LLC and recruiter Pinstripe Inc. — purposely avoided hiring older job applicants for regional sales positions.

In a collective action filed in Georgia federal court, Richard M. Villarreal claimed that CareerBuilder and Pinstripe, acting on guidelines set by R.J. Reynolds, screened applicants over the age of 40 from the hiring process.
