Google Partially Wins In Swiss Street View Privacy Row

Law360, New York (June 8, 2012, 2:03 PM EDT) -- Switzerland's highest court said Friday that Google Inc. doesn't have to ensure all faces and license plates are blurred out before being put online as part of its Street View service, granting the Internet search giant a partial victory in a legal fight over privacy.

Google's appeal to the Swiss Federal Supreme Court challenged a ruling that said the Mountain View, Calif.-based company had to make sure that all faces and license plates couldn't be recognized before the images made their way onto the Internet....
