GAO Junks Protest From Jilted NASA Contract Bidder

Law360, New York (June 8, 2012, 3:11 PM EDT) -- Defense contractor L-3 Services Inc. has lost a bid protest accusing government officials of ignoring a competitor’s alleged technical incompetence and questionable cost estimates when awarding a lucrative contract for NASA software services, according to a decision unsealed Thursday.

The controversy centers on a roughly $135 million contract the space agency signed last year with Virginia-based TASC Inc. for analysis and quality assurance of NASA software.
