DOJ Asks 5th Circ. To Revive KBR Kickback Case

Law360, New York (June 11, 2012, 7:57 PM EDT) -- The federal government told the Fifth Circuit on Friday that a lower court misinterpreted a federal statute when it found Kellogg Brown & Root Inc. was immune to enhanced civil penalties under litigation alleging its employees took kickbacks in connection with U.S. military shipping subcontracts in the Middle East.
