Walgreen Must Face Class Action Over Unpaid Wages

Law360, New York (June 13, 2012, 5:01 PM EDT) -- A Walgreen Co. employee’s proposed class action claiming the pharmacy chain failed to pay regular and overtime wages can move forward, according to a California federal judge who denied the bulk of the company's motion for dismissal Tuesday.

In the motion filed in April, Walgreen had argued that two previous class action settlements — made in state court in California in 2008 and 2009 — barred potential class members from bringing these claims.
