Judge Rejects Lipodissolve Ban

Law360, New York (September 14, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A state court has thwarted a Kansas ban that would have prohibited most physicians from carrying out a procedure that shrinks down patients’ body fat.

The State Board of Healing Arts, which governs physicians, signed off on the law that was set to go into effect on Friday, but the board’s decision spurred a lawsuit by Fig, a St. Louis, Mo.-based clinic operator, in the Shawnee County District Court.
