Liberty Mutual Wants Off Hook For Sears Ice Maker Suit

Law360, New York (June 14, 2012, 4:19 PM EDT) -- Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. on Wednesday asked an Illinois state judge to declare it has no responsibility to pay Sears Roebuck & Co.’s defense costs in a class action alleging the retail giant improperly installed refrigerator ice makers and damaged consumers’ plumbing systems.
