MF Global Trustee Inks $175M Deal With CME Group

Law360, New York (June 14, 2012, 5:00 PM EDT) -- The trustee charged with liquidating MF Global Holdings Ltd. broker-dealer unit MF Global Inc. announced a settlement Monday with CME Group Inc. that will see the Chicago Mercantile Exchange operator pay more than $175 million, $130 million of which will go to commodities customers.

Trustee James W. Giddens announced the deal on the same day as a hearing before U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Martin Glenn in New York, during which attorneys for both the parent company and MFGI updated the judge on the status of the two...
