Bristol Palin, Lifetime Defame Man With Reality Show: Suit

Law360, New York (June 14, 2012, 3:00 PM EDT) -- A California man who initiated a widely publicized confrontation with Bristol Palin lodged a defamation suit in California on Wednesday claiming she was unlawfully using the damaging footage to promote her new TV show on Lifetime.

In a complaint filed in federal court, Stephen Hanks accuses Palin of defaming him and alleges A&E Television Networks LLC, parent company of Lifetime, aired unauthorized footage of the incident to promote Palin's new reality show, “Life’s a Tripp.”
