Sylvania Can't Evade False Ad Suit Over Headlights

Law360, New York (June 14, 2012, 8:45 PM EDT) -- A federal judge on Thursday denied most of Osram Sylvania Inc.’s motion to dismiss a proposed class action claiming the company misled consumers into buying its SilverStar headlights through false advertising.

Sylvania had sought to dismiss all six claims against it, but U.S. District Judge Susan D. Wigenton only did away with one, for unjust enrichment.
