Gupta Jury Weighs Evidence As Deliberations Begin

Law360, New York (June 14, 2012, 6:15 PM EDT) -- The jury that heard the insider trading allegations against former Goldman Sachs Group Inc. director Rajat Gupta started its deliberations Thursday, kicking off the final phase of a hard-fought case built largely on circumstantial evidence.

U.S. District Judge Jed S. Rakoff spent about an hour instructing jurors on the law before he sent them to weigh six counts Gupta faces, five for securities fraud and one for conspiracy.
