Judge Puts Squawk Box Trial On Hold

Law360, New York (September 17, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A judge has stayed a trial against a group of former brokers accused of giving day traders access to private trading information via internal "squawk boxes” because of a pending appeal.

In an order filed Wednesday, Judge Jack B. Weinstein of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York granted the request made by defendant Kenneth Mahaffy, saying a new trial date would be ordered after the appeal is concluded.
