IP Attorney's Age Bias Suit Is Baseless: Law Firm

Law360, New York (September 17, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A law firm under fire by a former patent attorney for alleged age bias will urge a New Jersey district judge to summarily dismiss the lawsuit as baseless.

Counsel for Patterson & Sheridan LLP said Thursday the firm fired lawyer John M. Kelly for “legitimate” reasons, and would be moving to have the case dismissed with prejudice.

U.S. District Judge John J. Hughes on Friday set a deadline of Nov. 21 for both parties to submit motions for summary judgment.
