Prada Says MaxMara Bilked It Out Of Hawaii Boutique Lease

Law360, New York (June 19, 2012, 8:59 PM EDT) -- The U.S.-based arm of luxury goods purveyor Prada SPA sued fellow Italian fashion house MaxMara in New York state court Friday, alleging it reneged on a deal to turn over a store in an upscale Hawaii shopping district to Prada USA Corp.

The alleged contract breach cost Prada unspecified millions that it stood to reap from the boutique it planned to open at 2186 Kalakaua Ave. in Honolulu near Waikiki Beach, according to the complaint filed against Manhattan-based MaxMara Retail Ltd.
