BoNY Sues For Keys To Chicago Condo

Law360, New York (June 20, 2012, 6:42 PM EDT) -- The Bank of New York Mellon filed a lawsuit in Illinois chancery court Tuesday against the managers of a Chicago condominium where it has an office, claiming it's been locked out for more than a year and hasn't been given the keys to enter.

The bank is seeking keys and punitive damages from the Parkville Condominium Association, its agent Angelique France and manager Ace Midrise Management & Properties Inc., for allegedly breaching their fiduciary responsibility by preventing BoNY from entering, and therefore using, marketing or selling,...
