New Wrinkle For CVS Over Moisturizer Claims

Law360, New York (June 21, 2012, 1:09 PM EDT) -- CVS Caremark Corp. was hit with a proposed class action Wednesday alleging that its wrinkle-reducing moisturizer fails to achieve results in one week, contrary to explicit claims made on the product’s packaging and in advertising campaigns.

Georgiana Kirby — a disappointed purchaser of the Accelerated Wrinkle Repair Moisturizer — filed suit in California federal court on behalf of a proposed nationwide class of consumers, accusing the drug retailer of false advertising. In addition to class certification, she seeks damages and injunctive relief against CVS.
