Judge Tosses Snapple Price Discrimination Suit

Law360 (September 19, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has dismissed antitrust and breach-of-contract claims against Snapple Beverage Group Inc. and affiliates in a once-large putative class action accusing Snapple and several transshippers of price discrimination among New York-area distributors.

Judge Charles L. Brieant granted the Snapple defendants' motion for summary judgment on Sept. 13 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. The judgment, dismissing the claims against Snapple, was formally issued on Tuesday.
