NYC Hotel Loan Malpractice Case Survives Dismissal Bid

Law360, New York (June 26, 2012, 7:25 PM EDT) -- A New York state judge said Tuesday he wouldn't dismiss legal malpractice claims against two law firms brought by two former employees of convicted tax evaders who defrauded a French bank out of hundreds of millions of dollars to renovate Manhattan's Flatotel.

Judge O. Peter Sherwood kept alive the allegations against John P. Gleason of Gleason & Koatz LLP and Bradley D. Simon of Simon & Partners LLP, saying that the two former employees had sufficient allegations to sustain the suit at the early pleading stage...
