Texas Instruments Prevails In Licensing Dispute With Qualcomm

Law360 (June 10, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The Delaware Supreme Court has upheld a lower court’s decision to dismiss a Qualcomm lawsuit alleging that Texas Instruments violated terms of a patent cross-licensing deal for Qualcomm's CDMA (code division multiple access) cell phone technology.

"We are pleased," Texas Instruments Senior Vice President Joseph Hubach said in a statement. "We believe that this was the correct outcome."

The ruling effectively ends all outstanding legal claims in the dispute, Texas Instruments said.
