High Court Limits On Medicaid Expansion May Be Moot

Law360, New York (June 28, 2012, 1:34 PM EDT) -- While the U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday may have constitutionally restricted the federal government's power to yank Medicaid funding from states that don't comply with the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act's Medicaid expansion mandate, its upholding of the mandate renders that restriction moot as a practical matter, attorneys told Law360 on Thursday.
