Samsung Wants Bar On US Galaxy Sales Lifted During Appeal

Law360, New York (July 2, 2012, 3:34 PM EDT) -- Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. asked a California federal judge on Saturday to delay her ban on U.S. sales of the company's Galaxy Nexus smartphones while Samsung appealed Apple Inc.'s blockbuster injunction to the Federal Circuit.

The Korean electronics giant filed a notice of appeal and asked U.S. District Judge Lucy H. Koh to stay the preliminary injunction, which she granted the day prior on the grounds that the Galaxy Nexus likely infringes a design patent covering features of the iPhone.
