Appeals Court Dismisses SkyWest Case

Law360 (September 21, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Affirming a lower court's ruling, a California appeals court has said SkyWest Airlines Inc.'s method for paying flight attendants does not violate California's minimum wage, meal and rest breaks, and overtime wage requirements.

In a decision filed Wednesday, a three-judge panel of the California Second Appellate District, Division Six ruled against plaintiffs Michaelena Fitzgerald and Romead Neilson, who brought the suit seeking class action status for flight attendants who worked for the airline in California.
