Law360, New York (July 2, 2012, 6:04 PM EDT) -- Title insurance purchasers in a price-fixing class action agreed Monday to drop their Third Circuit appeal of a ruling that a Pennsylvania law allows collective rate setting, preventing the plaintiffs from seeking damages from their insurers, including Fidelity National Title Insurance Co.
A Third Circuit clerk on Monday signed off on an order dismissing the case, which was consolidated after beginning as a number of separate suits, in accordance with an agreement by all parties. Details of the agreement were not disclosed.
