DLA Piper Lures International Trade Pro From Pillsbury

Law360, New York (July 3, 2012, 4:36 PM EDT) -- DLA Piper has added an international trade partner with extensive trade controls and regulatory compliance experience to its Washington office, the firm announced Monday.

Thomas deButts, who joined the firm Friday, was previously a partner at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP, having served at Pillsbury and its predecessor Winthrop Stimson Putnam & Roberts for 22 years. From 1984 to 1989, he was at the U.S. Department of Commerce, serving as director of the agency’s export assistance division.
