Nissan Escapes Suit Over Alleged Transmission Defects

Law360, Los Angeles (July 2, 2012, 8:05 PM EDT) -- A California man who launched a putative class action against Nissan North America Inc. over alleged defects in the transmissions of its mid-2000s Altima, Maxima and Quest vehicles voluntarily dismissed claims against the automaker Friday.

Nissan buyer Howard Teba filed a notice in California federal court that he is voluntarily dismissing all claims against the car maker and its Japanese-based parent Nissan Motor Co. Ltd.
