Judge In Wal-Mart Sex Bias Suit Seeks Info On Comcast Case

Law360, Los Angeles (July 3, 2012, 3:42 PM EDT) -- The California federal judge overseeing a modified class action accusing Wal-Mart Stores Inc. of gender discrimination on Monday asked for further briefing on whether the U.S. Supreme Court's decision to consider certification in an antitrust suit against Comcast Corp. alters workers' claims.

U.S. District Judge Charles R. Breyer ordered parties to submit briefs on whether the Supreme Court's grant of certiorari in Comcast v. Behrend has any affect on a pending motion to dismiss classwide claims in the Wal-Mart case.
