Enron Barred From Accessing $136M In CalPX Case

Law360, New York (September 24, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A California energy provider has won the most recent round in its $136 million battle with former energy giant Enron Corp., after a district court threw out Enron's adversary proceeding against the company.

Judge Colleen McMahon of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York ruled Friday that the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has the authority to allow or deny access to the collateral that Enron once gave to the California Power Exchange Corporation.
