Wage-And-Hour Suit Filed Against UPS

Law360, New York (September 24, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A putative wage-and-hour class action against United Parcel Service Inc. was initiated Friday, joining two other prominent employee suits against the world's biggest package delivery company.

A former employee who did primarily “clerical” work for UPS filed the suit on behalf of a proposed class in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

She accused the company of failing to pay non-exempt employees overtime, in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
