Broadcasters Say New FCC Political Ad Rule Is Unfair

Law360, New York (July 5, 2012, 6:16 PM EDT) -- The National Association of Broadcasters pressed the Federal Communications Commission on Tuesday to delay, pending the outcome of an appeal, a new rule requiring broadcast stations to post information online about political advertisements, saying such disclosure would cause broadcasters irreparable harm.

The NAB asked the FCC to stay the implementation of an order it adopted in late April that requires broadcast TV stations to post the entirety of their public files online, including sensitive information about political advertising rates, according to an FCC filing.
