Unite Tries To Shake Organizer's FLSA Suit

Law360, New York (September 24, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Labor union Unite Here on Friday defended its bid to throw out a collective action alleging that it misclassified its organizers under the Fair Labor Standards Act to avoid paying them overtime, saying that Trenette Savage, the sole remaining plaintiff, had not shown any new issues of fact since the union first moved for summary judgment in July.
