Northrop Loses Protest Over Aircraft Maintenance Contract

Law360, New York (July 6, 2012, 5:28 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Government Accountability Office has denied a Northrop Grumman Corp. unit's protest over the Air Force's decision to consolidate contracts for two separate modified commercial aircraft, saying that the new solicitation did not unfairly favor the aircrafts' original manufacturer.

According to a decision published Friday, Northrop Grumman Technical Services Inc. had protested the terms of solicitation for logistics and maintenance services for the C-20 and C-37 aircraft, which are militarized versions of commercial business jets manufactured by Gulfstream Aerospace Corp.
