AAI Questions FERC On Electricity Merger Review

Law360 (September 24, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The American Antitrust Institute and six merger policy experts have sent a letter to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission critiquing several facets of a recently issued policy statement on electricity merger reviews.

In the letter to FERC Chairman Joseph Kelliher, dated Sept. 19, the antitrust think tank and the six experts addressed a supplemental policy statement, issued by the agency in July, which discussed a number of issues relating to merger review under Section 203 of the Federal Power Act.
