Christian Rockers Sue Warner, Rappers Over 'New Boyz' Name

Law360, New York (July 9, 2012, 12:00 PM EDT) -- Christian rock band Newsboys lodged a trademark infringement suit Friday in Tennessee against rap duo New Boyz and label Warner Music Inc. claiming the rappers' name is confusingly similar.

Newsboys Inc. and band manager Wes Campbell accuse New Boyz members Dominic “Legacy” Thomas and Earl “Ben J” Benjamin, as well as Warner, of infringing the Christian rock group’s trademarked name.
