Judge Turns Down Bid For Appeal In Enron Ruling

Law360, New York (September 24, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has rejected a request for an early appeal of a key decision in Enron Corp.’s bankruptcy proceedings that trade groups in the distressed debt sector claim has disrupted the market.

Judge Shira A. Scheindlin of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York denied the bid by Springfield Associates LLC, which had purchased bankruptcy claims in the Enron case.
