Korean Co. Hit With Suits Over Money-Sorting Patent

Law360 (September 25, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- An Illinois-based money-sorting technology company has filed two suits against a Korean-based rival and its U.S. distributor for allegedly infringing patented technology used to process currency.

Cummins-Allison Corp. filed its latest suit on Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas against Shinwoo Information & Telecommunications Co. Ltd. and Hawaii-based Amro-Asian Trade Inc. for allegedly infringing a patent for authenticating currency.
