PetSmart Groomers Growl Over Allegedly Unpaid Work

Law360, New York (July 11, 2012, 4:47 PM EDT) -- A proposed class of pet groomers has accused PetSmart Inc. of denying them paid meal and rest breaks and forcing them to perform uncompensated tasks in a suit removed to California federal court Monday.

Former and current employees Danette Moore, Latresa Myers, Alanna Harrison and Alisa Valdez also accused PetSmart of many other state labor law violations, including failure to compensate workers for the cost of grooming tools they bought, wrongful termination, and provision of inaccurate wage statements.
